EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ADMINISTRATION NOTIFICATION OF AWARD

NAME OF PROJECT: H-1B Technical Skills Training Grants
(October 18, 2002)

As a result of a recent procurement action, the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, is awarding seven grants totaling $15,641,974 to the organizations on the attached list. These grants are part of the H-1B Technical Skills Training Program. A description of these projects is attached. The period of performance is twenty-four (24) months, beginning October 1, 2002. These awards are included in the list of procurement actions approved for ETA.

These H-1B technical skills training grants seek to provide high level training to employed and unemployed workers to fill jobs in occupational areas where there have been skill shortages, and for which employers have sought workers under visas. The grants are supported by user fees paid by employers seeking high skilled foreign workers under the H-1B visa program.

Region 10 Workforce Investment Board                                                  $728,060
