How to make Greece your “springboard” to the region.
Greece presents itself as a “springboard” for U.S. firms entering the evolving markets in the region, because it offers investors a favorable investment environment through a combination of:
- Economic and political stability
- Growth above EU average
- Accessibility to the sizeable emerging markets of the Black Sea, the Eastern European and the Eastern Mediterranean regions. This may be achieved by setting up a company in Greece or by teaming up with one of the thousands Greek companies that are active in these markets.
- Generous investment incentives
- Productive and highly skilled human resources
- Competitive industry sectors, optimal supply and great variety of raw materials
- A great infrastructure network, upgraded for the 2004 Olympic Games
- One of the top tourist destinations in the world that attracts more than 14 million visitors annually
A unique culture and a good environment to live and to work!

Egnatia Motorway
A modern closed motorway 670 kilometers long and 24.5 meters wide over the greatest part of its length following a new alignment and running from Igoumenitsa to Evros, the Egnatia Motorway is one of the largest road construction projects in Europe. Nine major vertical axes connect the motorway with Albania, FYROM, Bulgaria and Turkey. Furthermore, five ports and six airports service the road. Egnatia Motorway’s vertical axes are becoming the backbone of Northern Greece transport system. It shortens distances and gives easy access to the region of Epirus, Macedonia and Thrace.
