The National Reconnaissance
Office (NRO) is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Program Control
Officers, performing a wide range of acquisition resource activities for large
space system development and acquisition programs (see our website at http://www.nro.gov/.)
Program Control Officers plan,
coordinate, develop, and defend budget submittals; monitor and analyze the
execution of programs; conduct complex schedule analyses, earned-value
analyses, and engineering change management evaluations; make/recommend
resource allocation adjustments; participate in source selection activities;
and provide overall programmatic and budgetary advice and guidance to managers.

who has the ability to gather, manipulate and interpret information using solid
analytical and problem-solving skills you'll find this a challenging and
rewarding career choice. If you have strong interpersonal, writing and team
building skills; and have the ability to multitask within short deadlines the
NRO needs you on its financial management team.
Minimum
qualifications
include an undergraduate degree in business or management. Alternative
undergraduate degrees include engineering, engineering management, mathematics,
analytical science, or physical science, but all applicants must have completed
a minimum of three accounting courses (9 credit hours) with a āCā or better.
For more senior positions (GS-13/14), candidates must have substantial and
progressively responsible acquisition budgeting and fiscal planning experience
in industry or the U.S. Government. Intelligence Community experience is a
plus, as are advanced degrees and/or Certified Defense Financial Manager and
Certified Government Financial Manager certifications.
All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. US citizenship is required.
To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months.
The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.
