The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is an independent US Government
agency responsible for providing national security intelligence to
senior US policymakers.
Beatrice de Graaf (PhD) studied modern history and German literature
and culture at Utrecht University and in Bonn, Germany. She was an assistant
professor at Utrecht’s History Institute before becoming assistant professor
and researcher at Leiden University’s Center for Terrorism and Counterterrorism
at The Hague Campus.
G served in the Directorate of Operations.
Brian J. Kelley served as a case officer for both the US Air Force
and CIA, specializing in counterintelligence for more than 40 years before his
retirement in 2007. He currently teaches officers in CIA and the Department of
Defense about the art of counterintelligence.
Hayden Peake is the curator of the CIA Historical Intelligence
Collection. He served in the Directorate of Science and Technology and the
Directorate of Operations.
