Welcome to the Hoosier Kids webpage. This is useful and fun information for kids of all ages. This year, I am encouraging high school students in my Congressional District to submit artwork for entry in the Congressional Art Competition. One piece will be selected for display in the Cannon Tunnel to the Capitol for visitors to view and others will be displayed in my offices. Visit this site frequently for new postings on this and other events students may be interested in participating.
The Internet can be a great playground for kids. To ensure that they have fun and are safe, you can educate them - and yourself - about safe sites, how to avoid unwelcome contacts and materials, and what to do if you run into trouble online. Kids should always use the internet with the supervision of their parents. A good resource for parents and teachers on safe internet surfing is GetNetWise, a non-profit organization, which assists those seeking a safe and rewarding online experience for children.
