Panama's economy grew at an astounding 11.5% in 2007. The Panama Canal expansion is a $5.25 Billion dollar mega-project managed by the Canal Authority which buys $300 million dollars in goods and services per year. Panama features the world’s second largest Free Trade Zone in Colon, Panama. U.S companies need to do more business at the Zone which handles more than $15 Billion dollars per year.
