The National Resource Manual for Communicable Diseases that are Quarantinable provides information and guidance to Federal, state, and local agencies involved in both planning for and responding to a quarantinable, communicable disease incident at an international airport.

Specifically, the document covers:

The document is intended to be used by all international airports in the United States to develop or update their own airport communicable disease response plan.

The audience includes airlines, first responders, local and state public health, and other government and non-profit stakeholders.

This manual is intended to prepare for the arrival of serious, life-threatening disease such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) or pandemic flu.
