The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and more than a dozen other federal agencies rely on the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) to help recruit and train the future workforce of scientists and engineers.
Through ORISE-administered internship, scholarship, fellowship, and research appointment programs, these agencies are creating a pipeline of potential employees for the science workforce.
ORISE provides a comprehensive suite of services. We:
- Design and implement programs that meet the unique science education program needs and goals of each customer
- Recruit participants nationally, including special outreach to Historically Black Colleges and Universities and other Minority-Serving Education Institutions
