Housing & Relocation
Welcome to the San
Francisco Bay Area! ISC Alameda manages three housing sites in the
area: Alameda (300 units), Concord (297 units) and Novato (269
units). Our three housing sites vary significantly in
construction, size of units, amenities, proximity to local
shopping/schools and climate. There are certain assignment restrictions
(based on rank and duty station) for each housing site. For more
detailed information on all three of the above Housing sites, please
contact the ISC Alameda Local Housing Office at (510) 769-0831. You can
also view a virtual
tour of these housing sites to get a better idea of appearance,
layout and location. Supporting documents and references to help you
manage your transition in and out of housing are provided in the links
below. In the event that you need transitional housing to help you
with your move-in or pack-out, ISC Alameda also maintains
MWR temporary lodging in Novato.
All members reporting to units or currently stationed and residing in
government quarters within the PACAREA Theatre are required to obtain a
release from mandatory assignment to government quarters prior to
receiving Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH). A release is required
before members may rent, lease, or purchase community housing. Failure
to obtain a release from mandatory assignment to government housing will
result in the forfeiture of BAH until all government owned housing in
the local commuting area exceeds 95% occupancy.
