Summary

The purpose of the Benefit Offset projects is to determine the effect of various interventions, in combination with a benefit offset, on employment outcomes including wages, benefits, hours worked, and job retention.

Status

On September 7, 2004, SSA notified Congress of its intent to conduct the nation demonstration project. We awarded the for the national study program design to Abt Associates on September 30, 2004. The demonstration is scheduled for implementation in 2007.
