The U.S. Commercial Service invites your company to join the U.S. Pavilion in order to build your profile in the market and your presence in Fieldays. The U.S. Pavilion enjoys a prominent, high-traffic indoor location and will serve as the venue for a product and product literature display, individual business appointments, special hospitality events, and product presentations.

What is a Catalog Show?

A U.S. Department of Commerce Catalog Show is an opportunity to have your company's marketing materials showcased at a major international trade fair without having to be present yourself. Simply provide your marketing materials to the Spokane Export Assistance Center, and for a cost-recovery fee our Commercial Specialists will proactively promote them to foreign buyers at the 2008 Fieldays New Zealand trade show. This offers your company significant exposure overseas without the high costs associated with foreign travel.

Our Catalog Show at the 2008 Fieldays New Zealand trade fair offers unique and valuable marketing potential at an affordable price. We have been working with our U.S. Commercial Service colleague in New Zealand for years, and she will continue to support yet another successful Catalog Show in June.

How Can I Participate?

We offer three ways to participate in Fieldays 2008:

  1. Find a Partner.......................................USD 600.00
For American companies new to New Zealand, we will help you test the market and rapidly narrow your search for a distributor, representative, or licensee. We will display your product literature, catalogs, or samples as part of the U.S. Pavilion at Fieldays and record sales leads for your follow-up. We will also do a partner search to identify New Zealand companies interested in distributing your company's products. The resulting report will include these contacts, the sales leads, and an assessment of your products' competitiveness in the market, pacing your company well on its way to a sales presence in New Zealand.
  2. Find and Meet a Partner.......................USD 800.00
Come to New Zealand during Fieldays and in addition to the package above, we will arrange a schedule of individual appointments with prospective New Zealand partners (distributors, licensees, dealers) to enable you to hit the ground running and get the most from your investment in Fieldays.
  3. Product Showcase................................USD 300.00
If you have an existing New Zealand distributor, you can have them showcase your US products at our booth. Our booth offers exposure to the agricultural market, as well as general consumers.

Please use the registration form provided below to submit registration for participation in this event. Your registration must be submitted no later than April 25, 2008. Later dates are acceptable for Option 3 - Product Showcase.

The New Zealand Market

New Zealand AgricultureAgriculture -- in all forms -- is New Zealand's largest industry and largest export earner. The agricultural sector is approximately 6% of New Zealand's annual GDP. Climate, land fertility, and technology have made New Zealand one of the world's most efficient primary producers. Dairy, wine grapes, and horticulture (fruit and vegetable) are among the fastest growing sectors.

  • 90% of all farm production is exported
  • New Zealand is a global leader in dairy products, lamb, horticulture, and produce
  • Agriculture is the 4th largest employer in New Zealand
  • Dairy, sheep, and beef farming represent 50% of New Zealand's total land use.
