(Civil Service) DELINQUENT TAX COLLECTION ASSISTANT I

$2705 per month

Duties

Performs a variety of delinquent tax collection assignments ranging from the simple to moderately difficult that require field contacts.

Experience Requirements

Specialized Experience Requirement:

1-year experience in the tax field which required the application of tax laws and related regulations and procedures in collecting current or delinquent taxes, in preparing tax returns, or in determining tax liability.

Duties

Performs delinquent tax collection assignments which regularly encompass complex tax problems and which require immediate action to prevent loss of revenue to the State.

Experience Requirements

Specialized Experience Requirement:

2-years of the specialized experience in the tax field which required application of tax laws and related regulations and procedures in collecting current or delinquent taxes, in preparing tax returns, or in determining tax liability with at least one year experience comparable to the DTCA I level.

Temporary Positions


(NON-Civil Service) CLERK I AND CLERK II

Clerk I $10.15 hourly, Clerk II $10.95 hourly
No benefits
Availability may be from January 2008 to June 2008 NIGHT SHIFT & DAY SHIFT AVAILABLE

Duties

Clerk I: Open and sort the incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail and performs other related clerical duties; Clerk II: Edit and batch returns, pick up and deliver mail, locate files, prepare simple reports, answer telephones, and other standard clerical duties.

Desired Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Other Requirements

Clerk I: Must be able to lift 50-pound mail tray on a regular basis; Clerk II: 10-key by touch for certain positions.
