A marriage license must be obtained from the local county clerk where the marriage will be performed no more than 30 days prior to the marriage ceremony. The final marriage certificate must be filed in the county clerk's office within 60 days of the marriage ceremony. |
Colorado law states that only judges, court referees, public officials whose powers include solemnization, individuals recognized by any religious denomination or Indian nation/tribe or the parties to the marriage themselves may validate or solemnize a marriage. The state of Colorado does NOT have any licensing or registration process for ministers, priests, rabbis or other religious leaders who perform marriages. (14-2-109, C.R.S.) |

Age requirements: 18 years of age or over without parental consent, ages 16-17 require notarized consent from parents or legal guardians; age 15 and under require court approval with license. |
Blood test is not required in Colorado. |
