The purpose of the Health Care Providers homepage is to offer a centralized portal site that links to selected Public Health programs, services, announcements, training opportunities and health advisories written specifically for health care providers.

Training opportunities by Public Health

  • HIV Prevention Counseling Workshop
    These workshops will assist health care providers and others who work with people at risk for HIV to develop the skills necessary to provide HIV prevention counseling.

  • Motivational Interviewing Workshop: An Introduction to Helping People Change
    Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered, directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence.

  • Child Care Health Classes
    If you operate a child/daycare facility in King County, we have various classes offered to you throughout the year.

  • EMS Online
    EMS Online was developed by King County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for EMS professionals as an alternative for completing the cognitive objectives of the annual competency-based training (CBT) or OTEP courses. These continuing education courses are accessible only to providers who have established accounts.
