Dr. Roy Teramoto has been the Maternal Child Health Coordinator for the Phoenix Area since October, 2002. He attended California State University at Long Beach, then transferred to and received his B.S. degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Medicine (now the Keck School of Medicine). He did his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Medical Center. He received an M.P.H. in Population, Family and International Medicine from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology
He did his pediatric nephrology fellowship at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Medical Center and is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology.
Professional Experience
As a commissioned officer in the USPHS he started his IHS career in 1983 at the Talihina Indian Hospital in Oklahoma where he was a general medical officer. His service continued at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in 1984 as a staff pediatrician.

Born in Nampa, Idaho, and raised in southern California (the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area), Dr. Teramoto is married to Beverly. She is a nurse who worked with the IHS at Chinle and PIMC. They have two daughters - Mikala who is 4 years old and Megan who is 2 years old.
