The mission of the Residential Code Enforcement Division is to regulate the occupancy level and maintenance of all residential structures within the City in order to safeguard life, health, property and public welfare.
This Division enforces the Uniform Residential Code to ensure the dwelling units in the City are decent, safe and sanitary. To accomplish this goal, the Division works with tenants and concerned neighborhood associations, and also accepts referrals from other agencies.
Residential Code Enforcement is located on the 5th floor of Plaza del Sol. This Division also plays a major role in the Mayor's Nuisance Abatement Task Force.
