The IRS provides various types of assistance and education programs to taxpayers. This includes call-in service, using the 800-number, as well as walk-in service, where taxpayers can go to a physical location and obtain help with their taxes. There are also outreach programs and workshops for taxpayers that provide filing education to specific groups of taxpayers, including small business owners, students, volunteers, and practitioners.
