Take Care of Your Heart. Manage Your Diabetes.

Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders with diabetes have a higher risk of heart disease than those who don't have diabetes. You can reduce that risk by managing your blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol and by keeping them in a healthy range.

The NDEP's "Take Care of Your Heart" campaign encourages Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders with diabetes, and their families, to take steps now to reduce their risk of heart attacks or strokes, the leading killers of people with diabetes.
