In the document, "Strategic Habitat Conservation. 2006. Final Report of the National Ecological Assessment Team", the need was identified for a strategic plan that will build SHC capacity through workforce development. NCTC has identified (and developed where needed) training courses that help build capacity to function in each element of the SHC Framework as well as support the entire Framework as a way of conducting our conservation mission for Trust Resources. The following will help you identify specific NCTC training courses that are of immediate relevancy in support of the SHC process and where you need to engage it.

Are you involved with Conservation Design? (spatially explicit integration of biological objectives)
Developmental training for Conservation Design
Are you involved with Conservation Delivery? (conservation targeted in pursuit of biological outcomes)

Are you involved with Monitoring and Research? (measure variables most associated with system sustainability, test assumptions in planning, and link back to agency decision-making)
