Outreach
Meeting people where they are—geographically, philosophically, emotionally. That is the essence of outreach to people experiencing homelessness. Rather than expecting people to come to where services are, outreach workers across the country take services to where people are. Often these outreach workers are the first and only point of contact for people who would otherwise be completely disconnected from others. In this issue, the HRC explores outreach and offers concrete tips and tools for those who do outreach every day…and every night.
