International Compliance & Enforcement Activities

International Compliance and Enforcement activities include providing assistance in the development of Environmental Impact Assessments and the operation of import and export programs in accordance with environmental laws and international agreements. In addition, EPA's International Affairs Program brings together other nations with similar environmental concerns to solve problems.

International Environmental Impact Assessments
Includes Environmental Impact Assessments of Nongovernmental Activities in Antarctica and the International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE).

Import/Export Information
EPA works with EPA's regions and program offices, the states, other federal agencies and foreign governments to ensure compliance with laws governing the importation and exportation of many materials which may pose a risk to human health and the environment.
