Special studies and in-depth analyses of specific aspects of the enforcement and compliance assurance program can be found in this area.

Overall program direction for the enforcement and compliance assurance program is described in the EPA strategic plan, specifically Goal 5 - Compliance and Environmental Stewardship. Shorter term priorities build from this strategic vision and can be found in the triannual National Program Managers (NPM) Guidance. Information on both these long- and short-term planning efforts, as well as the results and accomplishments of these efforts, are included in this site.

The reports documenting the results of the enforcement and compliance program vary in scope from the broad, such as the reporting required by the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA). Also included are specific measurement guidance and instruments, such as checklists and surveys, to help the regulated community evaluate their efforts to comply with applicable environmental requirements.
