Dear Sir or Madam:

Helping hands for the Blind, a nationwide charitable organization of the blind is in strong support of audible pedestrian signals to enable the blind to travel on a level field with the sighted. After all, sighted people have ready access to the traffic signals and we feel that the blind should have the same. All we need is some noise to indicate that the light has changed to green for the pedestrian. Of course, this is no guarantee of safe travel across a busy thoroughfare, but it does give us an equal opportunity as enjoyed by our sighted friends.

Hello, My name is Robert Acosta [ ... ], I strongly support the Prowac Report as i feel that we as blind persons great need audible traffic signals to give us an even break with our sighted peers.
