Tempe Youth Wind Symphony

The Tempe Youth Wind Symphony is an honor group comprised of young musicians from Tempe middle schools and mentors from area high schools, who are chosen to provide fellowship and modeling. The group rehearses once a week for six weeks and presents a free, public performance. The concert and all rehearsals are held at the Tempe Center for the Arts. The Tempe Youth Wind Symphony is coordinated by William J. Richardson and conducted by Douglas Akey.

 

 

 

The Tempe Youth Wind Symphony and Music Under the Stars are sponsored by the city of Tempe and funded through a grant from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
