Coast Guard Accepts Fifth HC-144A Maritime Patrol Aircraft
August 1, 2008 - The Coast Guard’s aviation recapitalization efforts show continued success as the fifth HC-144A “Ocean Sentry” Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA), Tail Number (CG 2305), departed the EADS construction facility in Seville, Spain on July 31 enroute to the Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile, Alabama. 

Newest Coast Guard Aircraft Assists with Midwest Floods
June 20, 2008 - ST. LOUIS– The newest type of Coast Guard aircraft, the HC-144A Ocean Sentry -- which has only been in service for a little more than a year -- was selected by the Commander of the Eighth District to conduct an overflight of the Midwest floods with key marine industry representatives Thursday, June 19.

HC-144A Ocean Sentry in its First Search & Rescue Mission
February 21, 2008 - On Feb. 20, 2008, two U.S. Air Force F-15C fighter jets from Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., collided over the Gulf of Mexico off Panama City, Fla. The Coast Guard’s new HC-144A and its crew located the first pilot and directed his recovery.  Both F-15C pilots were eventually recovered; regrettably only one was recovered alive.

Dec 2006 - The Deepwater Program marked an important milestone in its recapitalization of Coast Guard aviation Dec. 21 when the first HC-144A medium-range maritime patrol aircraft (MRS MPA) touched down at the Coast Guard Aviation Repair and Supply Center (ARSC) in Elizabeth City, N.C.

First Flight for the New Medium Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) HC-235A, Deepwater News
Sept/Oct 2006 - Six Coast Guard pilots arrived in Seville, Spain and commenced 22 days of Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) ground training on Sept. 28. Flight training is scheduled for Oct. 30 and will last approximately 12 days.
