AED focuses on behavior change related to the problems of sustainable development and environmental protection. Through global projects, in partnership with governments and ministries, we work with schools, the media, and the private sector to preserve biodiversity, foster natural resource management, and reduce urban pollution. AED is also working to improve water and agricultural efficiency in the Middle East.

Energy
AED is responding to the worldwide need for training in energy sector restructuring and regulation, change management for a privatized environment, climate change issues, and the reduction of other long-term threats to the environment. Program areas of emphasis include energy sector policy and planning; renewable energy; energy efficiency; energy and environmental infrastructure and technology transfer; energy privatization and restructuring; and cleaner, more efficient generation, transmission, distribution and use of energy.
