The Public Health Infrastructure Resource Center (PHIRC) website was created to meet the pressing needs and interests of states, communities, and the public in assessing and building their infrastructures. The web site is organized by the three core areas of public health infrastructure outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The three areas include: Information, Data, and Communications Systems, Public Health Workforce, and Organizational & Systems Capacity. Overall, it serves as a gateway to information and resources to build capacity of public health systems.
The National Public Health Performance Standards (NPHPSP) Online Resource Center also offers resources to assist public health systems and boards of health improve their performance related to Essential Public Health Services and the national standards. To learn more about public health performance standards, visit the PHF ‘What is NPHPSP’ site.
