Speaking to Students
Drs. Kenton Ross and Dave Halpern met with delegates from the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) at their 2008 Annual Session in Scottsdale, Ariz., last month. During the meeting, ASDA leaders learned about the AGD. At the Exhibit Fair, ASDA Trustee Jimmy Cheung won an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2009 AGD Annual Meeting & Exhibits, and attendees viewed the new AGD Facebook Fan page while mingling with AGD leaders and staff.

The AGD White Paper

The AGD has produced the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) White Paper on Increasing Access to and Utilization of Oral Health Care Services (White Paper). Find out about the challenges of access to care and the AGD’s recommendations in the Executive Summary, featured in the September 2008 issue of AGD Impact.

The White Paper was developed by the Board of Trustees Task Force on Access to Care in collaboration with task force consultants, Dental Care (DC) and Legislative & Governmental Affairs (LGA) Councils, the division coordinator to the DC and LGA Councils, the Executive Committee, AGD staff members, and the special consultant to the Task Force, and was adopted by the House of Delegates at the 2008 Annual Meeting & Exhibits.
