Armstrong, Acting Director
National Information Technology Center (NITC)
Kent Armstrong was appointed Acting Director of the National
Information Technology Center (NITC) in December 2007. He
has been at NITC since 2001, serving first as the Business
Integration Manager and more recently as Chief of the Project
Management Office. Mr. Armstrong joined the USDA in 1978 and
has worked for Food Safety and Quality Service, Packers and
Stockyards Administration, Federal Crop Insurance Corporation,
and the Farm Service Agency.
Mr. Armstrong grew up in Kansas where he and his wife still
reside. They have two grown children. He received his Bachelor
of Science Degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas
State University.
