SEAKEYS Program
Historical C-MAN Data
1,2,3

There are two kinds of SEAKEYS/C-MAN data presented here - Basic National Data Buoy Center C-MAN Data and Enhanced C-MAN Data.

Basic National Data Buoy Center C-MAN Data
The basic National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) C-MAN instrument package generally monitors meteorological data, such as wind speed and direction, air temperature and barometric pressure; but sea temperature is also measured when possible, at 1 meter deep.

Enhanced C-MAN Data
The Florida Institute of Oceanography has enhanced the NDBC stations with more oceanographic instrumentation under funding for their SEAKEYS project. We call these "enhanced" SEAKEYS/C-MAN stations. Parameters measured vary with the station, but a full suite of instrumentation includes measurements for sea temperature at 1 meter and 3 meters, salinity, and Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) at 1 meter and 3 meters. When viewing the header description file for the data files, "ZRAD" pertains to the PAR measurements.

Notes:
1  Important note regarding C-MAN data
2
Not all stations are present in the data files.
