Current Solicitations
DE-PS02-08ER08-26, entitled "Plasma Physics Junior Faculty Award Program".  A Letter of Intent to submit an application is required and should be submitted by September 4, 2008.  Formal applications are due on October 7, 2008.  The program contact is Dr. Darlene Markevich.  Submission details are included in the Financial Assistance Funding Opportunity document on grants.gov at: http://www.grants.gov, Funding Opportunity Number DE-PS02-08ER08-26. CANCELLED: Due to budget constraints in Fiscal Year 2009, this funding opportunity has been cancelled in its entirety.

Formal applications submitted in response to this notice must be received by 8:00 PM, Eastern Time, September 20, 2006, in order to be accepted for merit review and to permit timely consideration for award in Fiscal Year 2008.

Financial Assistance Funding Opportunity Announcement DE-PS02-07ER07-10 entitled "Development of Diagnostic Systems for Magnetic Fusion Energy Sciences Experiments". A letter of intent is required and should be submitted by March 5, 2007. Formal applications are due by April 3, 2007. Fusion Research on the National Spherical Torus Experiment - Potential researchers are encouraged (but not required) to submit a brief Letter-of-Intent by September 8, 2006. The Letter-of-Intent will provide advance information on general scope of planned research, and will help the Program Manager to plan the peer review. Full proposals submitted by October 6, 2006.  Point of contact is Dr. Steve Eckstrand.
