Therapeutic Recreation programs are offered throughout the city for persons with and without disabilities, age 6 through adult. The program offers a variety of services that may include: art, leisure education, performing arts, gross motor activities, and games. The Loma Linda Community Center was remodeled to house the administrative offices for the Therapeutic Recreation program. The Center provides fully inclusive programs for youth and adults with and without disabilities. The dates and times of programs vary according to the specific program. Therapeutic Recreation offers Summer Recreation Program every year to school age children (from 6 years old to high school) at Loma Linda Community Center and some schools.
- Extended Care Hours: 7:00am to 9:00am, and 3:00pm to 6:00pm
$25.00 one time fee for special events and field trips.

Essential Eligibility:
Must be registered in the program.
Space is limited for all programs.
Must meet age criteria for each site.
City of Albuquerque residents will be given priority.
First priority will be given to participants with disabilities who are residents of the City of Albuquerque.
Second priority will be given to siblings of participants with disabilities who are residents of the City of Albuquerque.
If participant is harmful to themselves or others, we reserve the right to not provide services. This is a safety issue.
DD Waiver Program:
We are a Medicaid Service Waiver Provider. Please contact your case manager to set this up. Anyone who does not fit into the 1:4 ratio must be referred for 1:1 staffing through the waiver.
