The CFSAN Constituent Update, formerly the Food Safety, Defense, and Outreach Constituent Update, will transition to email distribution via a listserv in June 2006. While some people have received Constituent Updates via email, most have received it through a Blast Fax mechanism. Constituent Update recipients who already provided an email address to the Constituent Update list will be automatically added to the new listserv over the next week. Fax recipients who have not previously provided an email address and who want to receive future editions will need to subscribe to the new listserv. Anyone interested in subscribing can follow the directions on CFSAN's website. People may subscribe or unsubscribe to the new listserv at any time.
During June 2006, Constituent Updates will be distributed both via fax and by email to the listserv, to allow ample time for current recipients to subscribe to the listserv if they choose, without an interruption in receiving these. Beginning in July 2006, only listserv recipients will receive the Constituent Update. In addition, Constituent Updates are, and will continue to be, maintained on CFSAN's Constituent Update web page.
