Area Agency on Aging Transportation Services

SeniorsPlus Area Agency on Aging serves seniors in Androscoggin County, Franklin County and Oxford County. When you need to get to a medical appointment or other errand, you can call our volunteer staff for a ride.

Transportation Services for the Elderly in Maine

Demand Response Buses

Offer "door-to-door" services. Most require a one-day or two-day advance reservation. In addition to client services, most programs also offer transportation that is available for anyone who needs a ride.

Transit Services for People with Disabilities in Maine

All transit providers in the State of Maine provide service in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This service is provided in three different ways depending on the nature of the service: demand response, route deviation and complementary paratransit.

Regional Transportation Program Rides for People with Disabilities

Alpha One's Adaptive Driver Evaluation Program

Program from Alpha One, an independent living center with locations in Bangor and South Portland, is designed to help people resume driving following a disability or to help young adults with developmental disabilities start driving.

Parking Placard for People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Elizabeth West Transportation Program
