3 tornadoes in Central Georgia...
On Wednesday, December 28, 2005 there was an eruption of severe thunderstorms across portions of
North and Central Georgia (mainly Central GA) that resulted in at least 3 tornadoes, and several occurrences
of very large hail. The tornadoes (probably F0 or F1) occurred in Laurens, Wilcox, and Pulaski counties -
affecting mainly rural areas, but damaging several structures and a few cars/trucks. Hail fell in at least 33 counties across
North and Central Georgia. Hail the size of softballs hit Sumter County, and hail the size of baseballs pummeled a few others - including Troup, Crisp, and Johnson.
Fortunately, there were apparently no injuries.
