The weather map on the morning of Feb 17, 2007 shows a cold front that plowed into North Georgia later in the day, causing temperatures to take a tumble.
By nightfall, temperatures in the extreme north were below freezing. A weak upper level low pressure system accompanied the front. The result was several hours of light snow. In the higher terrain of
extreme North Georgia amounts up to 2 inches were reported.
