About Current Weather Data...
NSSL does not provide current weather data. Here are some other places to find it:
Where can I find current weather data for any place in the U.S.?
The National Weather Service provides this information at weather.gov
Where can I find Doppler radar data?
The National Weather Service has Doppler radar data available online.
What is NOAA Weather Radio?
Current
weather, forecasts, and warnings are available 24 hours a day directly from
the National Weather Service via NOAA
Weather Radio. You can listen to NOAA
Weather Radio frequencies not only by using a weather radio (available at Radio
Shack, Wal-Mart, and other places), but also by many scanners, some CB radios,
2m HAM radios, and some AM/FM radios with special Weather Bands. Special-needs
weather radios provide
weather and other hazards information for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
Can I get current severe weather information on my pager?
In Oklahoma, the OK-WARN hazardous weather pager program gives deaf and hard-of-hearing Oklahoman's better access to hazardous weather information via alphanumeric pagers and/or E-mail addresses.
Current weather data can also be obtained on the Internet at many University, college, government, TV Station, and private company web sites. Many web sites provide - but do not guarantee - timely data. Here is a partial list of web sites that provide weather data.
