About
This is the latest form of the Database, version 2004_11. We are still actively working on getting more bugs out of it, correcting assignments and improving numbering consistency but it is significantly improved over the last version. Creating, maintaining and updating this database is a huge job. Please let us know if you find errors!!
There are various database formats you can choose depending on your particular circumstances and needs. Read the descriptions to find our which is the most appropriate.
This release is cross-platform. Due to the different compression methods and the different formats available on each platform, these are arranged under Mac and Windows directories. The manual is now in Adobe's Acrobat Portable Document Format. We reccomend using Acrobat Reader version 5 or later.
The pdf version of the Database is the simplest way to get a viewable, printable, database on any platform, with limited searching capabilities.

A structure index in pdf format and an intro to the database. This structure index is the best way to find a compound in the online database, since they are not in any logical order. The structures are grouped under various classes.

 Mac-OS Versions of the Database
General
The .sea signifies a self-extracting archive. The .hqx is for binhex encoding -- your browser should decode these; if not check out aladin's Stuffit Expander. Then simply double click on it to expand all the files in the archive.

Expands to a FileMaker Pro 7 file. You will need FileMaker Pro, the popular Database program, to utilize this version. FileMaker Pro is cross-platform and this exact file should work under Windows as well. This version prints well to make a hard-copy version.
