TREASURER'S OFFICE
 

The Treasurer's Office is the property tax collector for the County of Bernalillo, City of Albuquerque, Albuquerque Public Schools, the State of New Mexico, and other taxing agencies within Bernalillo County. More than 265,000 property tax bills, plus approximately 30,000 delinquency notices, are mailed by the County Treasurer's Office annually. The County Assessor sets the assessed valuation and the County Commission sets the tax rate for the County. Other tax rates are set by the individual taxing entities with final approval by the State's Department of Finance and Administration.

Bank of America is no longer accepting payments.

Property Taxes Due

Bernalillo County Treasurer Patrick J. Padilla reminds property owners they have until December 10, 2008 to pay the 2008 property tax bills. The bill becomes delinquent December 11, 2008 and penalty and interest will be assessed.

Payments may be made On Line or, in person at the Bernalillo County Treasury located at the Government Center, One Civic Plaza NW Lower level 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM Monday- Friday or can be mailed. Debit card transactions will also be accepted at the Treasurer’s Office.
The following banks and credit unions will also accept payments from November 1, 2008 through December 10, 2008:

“For taxpayer convenience, we also have five payment drop boxes that are identified with the County Seal and are available at the corner of 5th and Marquette, NW, Paradise Hills Community Center, Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center, Westside Community Center and in the Village of Tijeras,” says Treasurer Padilla.
