Office of Global Health AffairsMultilateral AffairsMultilateral Affairs | Regional Affairs | Refugee Health OGHA is responsible for coordinating U.S. Government (USG) policy input into the policies and decisions in health and health-related areas for implementation by international organizations, especially the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), and the United Nations' Children Fund (UNICEF) consistent with the overall objectives, policies and strategies of various agencies of the USG. Policies, reflecting both political and technical considerations, are developed through continuous consultation with officials in the various agencies of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Department of State (DOS), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and other agencies, including non-governmental organizations, industry, and professional organizations with an interest in overseas health activities.
