Sept. 26, 2006 Get a taste of King County's farm-fresh flavor at the 8th annual Harvest Celebration
Celebrate
King County's vibrant agricultural community Oct. 7 when 25 farms
open their gates for the eighth-annual Harvest Celebration Farm
Tour.
Put yourself in a farmer's overalls by spending the day on
a local farm. Watch local “chefs in the field” perform
cooking demonstrations, buy fresh produce, talk to farmers and walk
their fields, enjoy hay rides or corn maze and eat freshly harvested
produce.
Last year's farm tour drew thousands to King County farms, where
people got a front-row view of the amazing agricultural diversity
in our area. Families can enjoy a fun and educational day exploring
King County’s agricultural heritage, and farmers have the
opportunity to showcase their incredible farms and teach people
how food is grown.
This
free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information,
