Put yourself in a farmer's overalls by spending the day on a local farm. Watch local “chefs in the field” perform cooking demonstrations, buy fresh produce, talk to farmers and walk their fields, enjoy hay rides or corn maze and eat freshly harvested produce.
Last year's farm tour drew thousands to King County farms, where people got a front-row view of the amazing agricultural diversity in our area. Families can enjoy a fun and educational day exploring King County’s agricultural heritage, and farmers have the opportunity to showcase their incredible farms and teach people how food is grown.
This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, including a list of participating farms, visit http://king.wsu.edu/foodandfarms/HarvestCelebration.html and download the 2006 Farm Guide or contact Andrea Meyer at 206-205-3206
