The Management Team is composed of the Senior Group Leader, the
Laboratory Animal Resource Director, Facility Manager, QA/Training
Officer, and the Veterinary Technician. This team will make decisions
on the overall operation of the Barrier. A subcommittee from this
team will be formed that addresses Employee Safety and Welfare issues.
This subcommittee will include the Facility Manager, QA/Training
Officer, and the Veterinary Technician. Other members of the Management
Team may attend the scheduled meetings. This subcommittee will
meet weekly with husbandry personnel to discuss and resolve relevant
and pertinent issues.
Users Group: A
committee of personnel who routinely use the facility will be
formed to address issues which may arise so it will function
in an optimal manner for those doing research. This committee
will be composed of researchers, the Management Team, and husbandry
personnel. Others may be invited to attend if their input is
required. It will meet periodically, and as necessary, to resolve
problems, discuss new procedures, or to make program changes.
