Volunteers Help Protect Monte Cristo Area

Since 1997, the Darrington Ranger District of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, in cooperation with the Monte Cristo Preservation Association, has developed a program for Volunteer Stewards at the historic Monte Cristo town site. Volunteers provide visitor information and help maintain facilities from mid-June until mid-September. Monte Cristo is located along the Mountain Loop Scenic Byway, between the rural communities of Darrington and Granite Falls in Snohomish County. Find out more about the program...
