Required Posters

Required civil rights posters are listed below with instructions on where to display them and how they can be obtained.  In addition, guidance is provided on the use of the nondiscrimination statement.

The following documents require Adobe Acrobat.

• The Civil Rights posters below are to be prominently displayed in all offices where there is an NRCS presence. The posters are to be placed where they can be viewed by employees and customers. Please be advised that these required posters should be displayed in a specific size: 11" width x 17" height. This size requirement relates to a problem where the text of the poster becomes small and almost unreadable when the poster is printed in a typical printer's print size of 8.5" x 11". Very few organizations have printers capable of printing the required size for displaying the posters. The Internet copies of the posters are shared for the purpose of reference rather than for printing and display.

USDA Sexual Harassment is Illegal(AD-1085, Rev. 9-03) (PDF; 8 MB) - Revised Form AD-1085 provides valuable information about the prevention of sexual harassment and about reporting instances of sexual harassment. • Non-Discrimination Statement
The nondiscrimination statement shall be included, in full, on all materials produced by USDA and its agencies for public information, public education, or public distribution.  The statement below specifically lists all the prohibited bases for discrimination contained in the USDA Civil Rights Policy Statement.  The statement shall be in English and in languages appropriate to the local population, and in alternative means of communication (Braille, large print, audiotape, etc.)

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination in all its programs and activities on the basis of race, color,  national origin, age, disability, and where applicable, sex, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion, sexual orientation, genetic information, political beliefs, reprisal, or because all or a part of an individual's income is derived from any public assistance program.
