Sharing knowledge about knowledge sharing at NIH. The Knowledge Management Interest Group is a community of practitioners of Knowledge Management at NIH. The group is open to anyone at NIH who is engaged in KM at any level. Possible areas of interest include knowledge databases, communities of practice, metrics, product evaluations, or anything that is relevant to KM as it relates to the mission of NIH. For more details, take a look at our topics page and our online faq. Presenters should read our speaker's faq. Directions to our monthly meetings are found here. If you are involved with Knowledge Management at NIH and are interested in joining us, please email Geoffrey Marsh at geoff@mail.nih.gov or click on the "Join the SIG" link, above, and sign yourself up! Latest News (11/24/2008): We would like to convene a meeting among interested parties to talk about what we can do to break out of the stovepipes, how we can get the different parties who are involved with KM at NIH talking to each other, and how we can develop a framework for how KM is practiced at NIH. Additionally, perhaps we could explore what opportunities there are for central facilitation of KM projects. If you are interested in participating, please email Ben Hope (tallguy@nih.gov) and Geoff Marsh (geoff@mail.nih.gov) (if you have previously responded, no need to respond again). Once we have a list we will schedule a session. Want to help out with the KMIG? We are looking for folks to help us take the KMIG to the next level. Would you like to help out? We need help with website management, speaker recruitment and meeting arrangements, as well as other tasks. If you would like to have an impact on the future direction of the KMIG, this is a great opportunity. Contact the chair for details or to volunteer! If you would like to suggest a speaker, or if you would like to present a topic yourself, please email Geoffrey Marsh at geoff@mail.nih.gov. |
