VA Resources
The Readjustment Counseling Service's community-based Vet
Centers provide information and diagnostic evaluations concerning
PTSD to any veteran who served in a war zone or in a military conflict (such
as in Panama, Grenada, or Somalia). There are no co-payments or charges of any kind for Vet Center confidential services.
Please call 1-800-905-4675.
For specific options for education and treatment
in your local area, contact the closest VA Medical Center specialized PTSD
program.

My HealtheVet is the VHA Health Portal created for you, the veteran and your
family, and for VA employees. This new health portal will enable you to access
health information, tools and services anywhere in the world you can access
the Internet.

Military OneSource is the same as Army OneSource for all
military forces, a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week, toll free
information and referral telephone service available worldwide to
active duty, Reserve, and National Guard military members and their
families, and deployed civilians and their families. Military
OneSource provides information ranging from every day concerns to
deployment/reintegration issues. Additionally, if there is a need
for face-to-face counseling Military OneSource can provide a
referral for six sessions per issue with professional civilian
counselors at no cost to the military or family member (only
available in the United States and Puerto Rico). Overseas,
Military OneSource can help access those existing services provided
through the Medical Treatment Facilities. Users may use the website
to order educational materials (booklets, cds, etc.) at no charge
and access consultants on-line on a 24/7 basis.

Deployment Guide Fact sheets and information for service members and their
families on post-deployment including home, finances, career, and
more.
Courage to Care This site, created by Uniformed Services University
for the Health Sciences, belongs to the Center for Traumatic
Studies and includes a wealth of additional information.
Clicking on 'Courage to Care' in the left margin will bring you to
an electronic health campaign for military and civilian
professionals serving the military community, as well as for
military men, women and families.
Veterans
and Families: Homecoming Preparedness Guide Veterans and Families is a national non-profit community
service and support organization, founded and directed by Veterans,
parents, grandparents, family members, employers, mental health
professionals, academics and community leaders.
Department
of Defense Deployment Health & Family Readiness Library This library provides service members, families and
healthcare providers a quick and easy way to find the deployment
health and family readiness information they value. The
contents of this library include fact sheets, guides and other
products on a wide variety of topics that have been made available
on a single website for your use.

and Families Coming Home This site provides information for families, employers, and
communities, to help support homecoming veterans in their
transition from military to civilian life. Resources and readings
are provided as well as information on preparing for homecoming
veterans, career transition tools, support networks, and more.
National Partnership for
Workplace Mental Health Delivers educational materials to employers and employees on
a broad range of mental health topics, provides a forum for
businesses to explore mental health issues and share innovative
solutions, and serves as a clearinghouse of mental health
information important to employers.
