Other Funding Opportunities

This page provides links to funding opportunities in two ways: by category and by region. Funding opportunities are not double-listed, so make sure to check both the categories and the regional map to see all available opportunities.

The Web sites listed under the following categories contain information on funding opportunities. The information about these grants and grant programs come from the individual organizations' Web sites and are included to provide a brief overview of each organization and the funding it offers.

Coastal and Natural Resource Management - Links to sites focusing on coastal hazards, habitat restoration, water quality, watershed protection, and other natural resource protection issues.

Communities - Links to funding for brownfields, community and economic development, eco-industrial sites, sustainable development, education, transportation, and other opportunities for local-level funding.

Data and Information - Web sites providing financial and technical assistance, as well as training for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data, metadata, and spatial data.

Grant Clearinghouses - Governmental and nongovernmental sites compile and post information on a variety of funding opportunities. These links may or may not be coastal-issue specific but will offer useful search engines.

Regional Specialties - The regional map provides links to Web sites with funding specific to each region of the United States. Regions included are: Great Lakes, Northeast, South, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, West Coast, and Pacific Islands.
