Historical Operational Statistics
The reporting requirements for DOE national user facilities are based on time. These requirements concern the actual hours of operation (ACTUAL) and the established maximum operation or uptime goal (OPSMAX). The average annual OPSMAX time for all three ACRF sites has been established to be 7884 hours per year. In other words, 0.90 of the 8760 hours in an non-leap year. During a leap year, OPSMAX time will be set at 7906 hours, or 0.90 of the 8784 available hours. The differences in time reflect the complexity of local logistics and the probability of extreme weather events. The tables below provide the average actual hours of operation (ACTUAL) and the established maximum operation or uptime goal (OPSMAX) for the three ACRF Sites by fiscal year since 1998. In 2005, the statistics began reporting quarterly without being cumulative.
