Organization
The CGF staff is structured into five functional groups under the direction of the Scientific and Interim Directors. The CGF staff and directors work closely with members of the CGEMS initiative
Stephen J. Chanock M.D., Director
The Director is an NCI Senior Investigator who oversees the scientific advancement of the mission of the CGF, to conduct high quality, high impact studies to investigate the contribution of germline variation to cancer causation and cancer outcomes. The Director is responsible for the conduct, analysis and presentation of CGF studies.
Meredith Yeager Ph.D., Scientific Director
The Scientific Director is responsible for advancing the scientific capability and reputation of the CGF and providing scientific vision and future direction to the CGF. The Scientific Director guides the scientific direction toward the achievement of the CGF's scientific philosophy, mission, strategy.
Amy Hutchinson M.S., Director of Operations
The Director of Operations manages and supervises the operations at the CGF, and ensures that the strategic vision of the CGF is suitably developed to improve the efficiency of delivery of high quality data and analysis for its customers. In addition the Director of Operations provides oversight of the CGF, including assessing feasibility of new projects and technical goals, customer service education, and assistance to all CGF users.
